Billy Jack is a half-Indian and half-white who is an ex-Green beret but seems to associate much with the Indian side. One thing that Jack hates is violence, but it becomes part of his life while in the white ma’s community. The movie incorporates the good guys who are from the free-arts school and the bad guys from near-by town.

The relationship of the two communicates different themes including making loving and abandon war, the rape of society, anti-establishment, a different form of justice, prejudices, and racial discrimination. Billy Jack who has been staying in an Indian reservation where the main objective was to protect the Indians and the stallions.

Also, Jack provided security to the students studying at freedom school which was the most peaceful art school under the management of Jean Roberts. The school is one of the best because the students are free to make a judgment about personal destiny.

A situation arises when Sherriff Cole retrieves the teenage Barbara daughter of Mike who is known as the deputy Sheriff but a corrupt one. The daughter gives out her secret that she is pregnant and that the father has been abusing her through beating. After the intervention of Sherriff Cole and the local doctor, they decide to approach Jean to ask if she can host Barbara who has been running for being traumatized.

However, the father of Barbara joins the effort with another known corrupt figure in a community known as Mr. Stuart Poster together with the coward son Bernard Posner. Both Mike and Posner including other majority people in the town have a big hatred for non-whites including whites preaching for peace. The resentment and hatred develop even in the freedom school as it enrolls all children despite the differences in their ethnic backgrounds. They aim to destroy the school and cause humiliation to the students.

On the other hand, Billy Jack tries to overcome the temper by avoiding the violence originating from the locals. Later, it comes to attention to Jack the kind of humiliation done to Jean by Bernard after raping her which triggers him to use violence to overcome evil. Billy starts by following Bernard Posner where he finds him in a hotel room almost to the edge of the town having sex with a minor who was 13 years old.

Moreover, Bernard tries to shoot at Jack to save himself, but Billy Jack manages to kill him first by using a karate chop on his throat. This event causes Billy Jack and Barbara to go into hiding in an old church as a way of evading the law. Later, after engaging in a shootout with the law, Billy Jack also kills Deputy Mike, but he also suffers from a severe gunshot wound direct to the stomach.

The movies relate to the current world generation in different ways especially by considering the issue of gun control. The cause of violence in the city is due to gun possession by civilians. Most nations have been struggling with the issue of gun control as a strategy of reducing crime. However, according to Billy Jack use of a gun could be the only way of enforcing justice.

According to Billy Jack constitution alone fails to provide democracy which calls for other measures of solving the crime. Also, the ethnic differences in the freedom school and community define the differences existing in the current society which causes hatred among each other. Therefore, the film Billy Jack is set to address the contemporary issues affecting society today which require addressing to develop peace in the nation.
