Question One

Artists have different perspectives regarding knowledge and technology. Some may give praise while others criticize. Give examples and explain their points of view on both sides.

Knowledge and technology have a close relationship that they are closely interlinked to each other. When you talk of technology invention, knowledge comes into mind since technology is a product of knowledge. On the other hand, advancements in technology impart people with knowledge. Artists have not been left behind on this. They also have their views on the topic. Most artists have positive perspectives on technology although there are a few who despise it. Those who appreciate it have continued to make drawings of nature even though photography has replaced it greatly. An example of this is in Audubon’s Birds of America. This is a good work both artistically and scientifically. Artist drawings emphasize on significant things in the photo, unlike photography in which an aspect can be lost in the many things that are equally balanced.  The same way artists appreciate technology, they also appreciate knowledge. This is dated back to the times of world war one. Artists encounter aspects of knowledge through dreams, visions and speculative guessing.

Some artists like Orozko believed that sterile education passes for knowledge, but actually it keeps the young without giving them any real wisdom or understanding.

Question two.

In what ways you may find yourself connected with nature? Is there a specific view or object? (ie: Animals, Landscape, Plants, etc.)

Answer

In everyday life, human beings are related to nature. First, life depends on the nature. Environment consists of different things both living and non-living. Animals and plants form the living while things such as landscape form the non-living. An example of this, is how drawings of animals have been related to animals since ancient times.

Mosby’s Exam Review for Computed Tomography

Animals appear in art in every culture. Animals were the first subjects of human drawings. They have been featured in many myths and narratives. Fantastic creatures are a result of human imagination, fear and desire. This has led in creation of imaginary animals that do not exist.
