The term perceived employability refers to a person’s perception of their possibilities of getting and maintaining employment. Harry, Chinyamurindi and Mjoli (2018) define perceived employability as the thought ability to obtain a sustainable employment appropriate to an individual’s qualification level. One of the things that greatly influence perceived employability is personal resources. People tend to perceive their capability basing on the resources that they have or their ability to access certain resources.
Another factor is entrepreneurial intentions; an individual’s intentions to start their own business venture. Research shows that educational, structural and familial supports have an immense contribution to people gaining entrepreneurial intentions (Morris, 2019). The level of education is also a critical component among the different factors that influence perceived employability. Higher education can provide an individual with fundamental essential components that are required in the job market. Employability skills are also important in enhancing employability especially among graduates (Harry, Chinyamurindi and Mjoli 2018).
