Young people have a right to contribute in civic issues. The Convention on the Child's Rights (CRC) to social work practice has strengthened this right. The organization provides an excellent framework for youth's civic engagement, particularly in social work. This research paper reviews social work literature (peer-reviewed) to explore how the CRC framework shapes community work scholarship on the contribution of children in civic duty. The review establishes that the organization is mirrored in outside United States. It also establishes that public work scholarship in the U.S. infrequently draws on the CRC and tenets associated to children's rights.
