Introduction
The initial purpose of the study is to evaluate the empirical validity of the hiking costs of healthcare. It also aims t ascertaining how registered heal practitioners amid experience or rather resources impact the quality of healthcare care that is administered by patients basing on the fact that patients’ care is the primary function of the healthcare system. The research was developed because many studies have been conducted o examine the relationship between the healthcare providers knowledge and results since it is evident that nurses experience and outcomes have faced lots of challenges when it comes to conceptual and methodological factors. As a consequence of this, there is minimal experiential evidence of the effects of healthcare knowledge on clients or organizational results. The theory tries to provide some answer to the questions. Also, this paper examines the mechanisms at which advanced nurses can be of assist to end the theory-practice break.
Nursing intellectual capital theory evaluation
Nursing intellectual capital theory evaluates the providers of healthcare knowledge at is found inside the health care system and outlines its interaction between the patients who are the clients and the nursing outcomes. The constructs and ideas that are to be examined in the article have been clearly and theoretically defined with the indication of the importance of the research on main sectors in the healthcare. The literature has critically reviewed all factors within the research discussing the implications for the study and practice. The literature review has also explained the reason as to why the hypothesis indicates guarantee for helping studies on quality work surroundings and how it can be of assistance when it comes to managerial decision making that is in line with nursing human asset administration and the progressive professional growth (Covell & Sidani, 2013).
What makes is research to be outstanding and good in nature is the fact that the research questions re well related to the topic. The research questions have revolved around the relationship between the work environment and intellectual capital, the different categories of capital and how the nursing knowledge has an impact on the quality o care that is given to hospitalized patients. While looking at the research questions, it is clear that they have been drawn from the research topic. Moreover, the operational definitions such as nursing, human capital, knowledge, employer support and quality of care among others have explicitly drawn from the theory that is being tested (Covell & Sidani, 2013).
A descriptive qualitative research was used to define the kind of study and its research questions and hypothesis. This is the best since the data for this particular study could be easily attained from secondary materials. Therefore, the design can be termed as being congruent with the degree of the theory that is described. The instruments used for conducting the research are theoretically valid and reliable. A linkert scale was developed to collect the various perspectives of the participants that took part in the study. Also, statistics that were employed are academically significant as they are current and taken from reliable sources that have been approved for conducting researches and used for educational purposes (Covell & Sidani, 2013).
While analyzing the data, the researchers ensured that they have vividly provided evidence that supports the study. Also, the analysis of the data has provided a room that can be employed if the theory is to be modified. The research has been correctly written as the importance of the theory has been well discussed in the report. According to the report given, the theory is relevant in the field of nursing because it assists in promoting quality work environments, developing the level of care, minimizing the rising charges of healthcare among many other advantages. Basing on the finds gathered and evaluated from the research, the researchers propose that is of paramount importance to conduct research knowledge as it is an intangible asset for the entire field of healthcare. They continue to assert that, there is need of more research as carrying out a study to assess its commitment to the nature of consideration that is administered to patients’ is very disturbing and challenging. Finally, the research has well identified the theory testing studies in their abstract and library retrials such as the case of Fortune 500 firms (Covell & Sidani, 2013).
Ways in which advanced practice nurses can close the theory-practice gap
Advanced practice nurses, also known as nurse practitioners are nurses who are registered and have attained skills and knowledge on n a particular base. They are also acquainted with skills of making decisions that are complex in nature. In other instances, these nurses are characterized to posse’s clinical capabilities for extended practice which is mostly shaped by the environment of the countries or locations at which they have been placed in practice. Their vast knowledge and skills are of utmost essentiality in the field of nursing, and since extensive experience characterizes them, then they are deemed fit to play a significant role in closing the theory-practice gap regarding nursing intellectual capital theory (Williamson et al. 2012).
First of all, advanced nurse practitioner’s educational level is at a high level. Also, they are having a licensure, certification and all the credentials for practicing nearly all segments within the healthcare system. Regarding their nature, they are capable and have been licensed and registered to integrate research, practice, and management. They also pose a high level of expert self-governance and autonomous practice. As earlier stated, they have an advanced health assessment skills, diagnostic reasoning skills, and advanced decision-making skills (Williamson et al. 2012).
Therefore, this kind of healthcare providers will be the best in closing the gap between the theory under study using their vast knowledge and mandate that has been accorded to them. Since they have the ability to make complex decisions, they are in a position of coming up with mechanisms that can be used to bring down the rising costs of healthcare and by doing this, they will be assisting the patients and the entire healthcare organization from unnecessary spending. Also, advanced nurse practitioners are well known to have high critical thinking abilities which will be of paramount importance in closing the gap of nursing intellectual capital theory. This can be done by determining how registered healthcare providers and knowledge resources have an impact on the quality of patient care which is very critical in healthcare (Williamson et al. 2012).
Moreover, these kinds of nurses have senior ranks as compared to the other nurses, therefore, they the organization’s social network to advocate for increasing the knowledge gap between nurses through the use of healthcare investments and thus administer training to the senior employees. Through this, the junior employees will have the sufficient required knowledge to provide high-quality care to their patients. Through the social networks, it is evident that there will be personal relationships at which the junior nurse will get an insight into proper healthcare practice and care. They can also utilize their leadership skills to ensure that the nursing systems at which they work for are operated in a more accurate manner. In addition to this, their leadership qualities will be imperative as they can be used to promote quality work environments within the healthcare surroundings (Williamson et al. 2012).
In conclusion, various challenges are facing the healthcare system currently. However, new mechanisms can be developed by the advanced nurse practitioners that will be very crucial in solving the many encountered problems. It is only through education and other knowledge resources that positive the quality of patient care can be improved. Therefore, the use of advanced nurse practitioners to solve the challenges regarding the rising costs of healthcare the relationship between nursing knowledge and outcomes is a great idea that needs to be put into practice.
