The conflict began when members of the Hezbollah political party reported having tried to expose a banner marking the Ashoura religious holiday, which belongs to the Shiite. As a result, the Shiite united with the Sunni and Maronite and settled on Mustapha Adib as their candidate.

The condition has been worsened by the deepening economic and humanitarian crises. Additionally, the country’s prime minister does not have the required political power and support to resolve the major problems facing the country.
