The computer-driven process is very effective for the firm given the fact that it gives a perfect platform through which the company is capable of making work much simpler through the use of technology. Technology plays a very key role in the contemporary firms based on the fact that it allows the firms to operate at a very first speed and handle bulk products. The computer-driven shoe machine allows Shuzworld to cut on its costs as there shall be very few people working on the plant and hence the salaries and wages costs are relatively less. Only a few workers are required to run the entire plant as compared to the case where the computer-driven shoe machine process where not used.
The data information system of Shuzworld currently is poor. One problem with the data is missing data, making it incomplete. Incomplete data does not present all the necessary data for the business. The data is also inconsistent; not all data elements are defined and understood well. For example, the use of cash misc and misc in the data may not be understood well by the user. Presentation of promotional sales and misc as sales is also inappropriate. Refunds and returns are also presented as sales; this is inappropriate because refunds and returns are not sales. Other data are also in conflict, i.e., the names used to present the data look alike. For instance, the use of words like coffee and cup of coffee may be conflicting. One may not be able to know the difference between the two products. Other products with conflicting names are Soy Latte and Lattee. A person who is not conversant with the system might find it difficult to establish the differences between the products. Inconsistency can also be seen in the way the data has been presented. In the system, presentation of prices in some parts incorporates placing the prices in brackets. Most of the values for prices of products have not been put in brackets, apart from a few. A user might find it difficult to establish the actual differences between prices put in brackets and the prices that have not been put in brackets, where in real sense, there might not be any difference being presented.
There is an immense of effects and many issues that may arise as a result of poor data in information systems of a business. They include; lost opportunity cost, inability in identification of customers with high net worth, increased value in matching against main customer database, costs and time of refining data or processing corrections problems, inaccurate performance measurements for employees, and inability to identify suppliers for spend analysis. The stated impacts are the effects that can be experienced on the financial status of the business.
Confidence impacts may fall on the ease-of-use that is improved for staff, ease of interaction that is improved for customers, incapability to provide combined billing to the customers, and impaired decision-making for setting prices.
Some clients get discouraged when they are left behind in academic work by other clients, and they may end giving up easily. The fall break may help the clients to catch up with others by working extra hard during the fall break as the others take a break. This would help ease the pressure on them, and they may be encouraged once again. Others may be able to get ahead of class work and thus can easily understand when the instructor teaches same things in class when they resume. A part of the clients use the period to engage in co-curriculum for physical growth and as we all know all work and nor play makes jack a dull boy. This helps the clients to be of sound health, and they can concentrate in class even the more. This helps the clients to grow both academically as well as in co-curriculum activities. It also helps them enhance skills in other fields, for example, when clients engage in skiing trips since it is the most suitable weather for the fall period.
The period scheduled for the break coincides with the statutory holiday that even best for the clients to travel as it has more conveniences since they would have ample time for it.
Therefore, as the president the commerce society would be very pleased if the break is granted to the clients as it would help ease of stress from clients as well as raise the standards of education at Saint Mary’s University at large. After all there will be an extension of the academic days to compensate for the break period.
Impact on productivity can be experienced on decreased ability for straight-through processing via automated services.
Poor business data information can also have some impacts on the risk/compliance of the business. The impacts can be experienced in; incapability to entrance full history of credit leads to poor assessment of the risk and privacy violations.
Market Analysis
In the contemporary world, it has come to be largely believed that product price behavior relies on the history of the product. This is the reason as to why huge sums of money have been placed in the quest to see to it that the history of products’ prices is effectively studied as well as well kept. Through the study of such history, it is apparent that patterns can be made out regarding the fashion in which the product is actually fairing in the market in the present time. In any venture that calls for the investment into the market, it is always critical that the investor gets to have some degree of trust regarding whether or not the venture shall actually get to pay off at the end of the day. In this respect, it is critical that a reliable mode of telling whether or not the venture is properly viable is key given that colossal sums of money are often involved in at such points in time. It is very common to have one investing billions of money in a given product venture in the market. This is a risk taking venture that in turn calls for one to have a mechanism of telling what it takes to have the venture paying off at the end of the day. The investor would like to know not just how the product is fairing in the current time but also the manner in which the business shall be fairing in the future markets. Through the study of the history of the product in the market, it is possible to develop a relatively reliable pattern that shall in turn be used to predict the pattern that the venture shall take in the near and even in the far future. In order that a market is termed as being efficient, it needs to have some key attributes incorporated in it. One of these is the rationality of the investor. There are numerous investors out there in the market. Each one of them has different forms of rationality which they practice in the manner in which they get to go about their investment. It follows that the most rational investor makes it big in the market as they get precisely what they are out to get.
Conclusion
The system can have its reliability stance improved by embracing a restructuring of its system. It is critical that there is effective and sufficient man power and machine power at all points in time, at all times that are right so as to ensure that the element of reliability is maintained. As is evident from the data in the firm, Shuzworld, there are different machines each with different Deck shoe levels of reliability. The first machine has the level 0.84, the second machine has a reliability ability of 0.91 while the third machine has a reliability of 0.99. This hence manifests the fact that with no doubt, orienting the system of the fir towards the use of exclusively the third machine is poised to revamp it and majorly increase reliability.
The decision analysis tool was able to take into consideration all the pertinent variables in one go and hence it generated a very comprehensive and all round analysis that goes a long way in fronting a perfect decision and conclusion being made.
