The guanxi culture used by the author has an integral role in China in facilitating social networking and influencing most of the business actions taken by most of the business organizations in China. Besides, the article explores in detail the impact of modern social media on business activities.
The concept drawn from the author’s point of view is that social media has facilitated business-to-business sales among business professionals in China. However, the focus on choosing social media for salesforce is simply because the technology has changed with regard to time and many of the consumers are using social media to access most of their products and services in contemporary society.
Conversely, the authors sorted to give comprehensive and exploratory research that depicted how social media has played a vital role in solidifying guanxi relationships between customers and business professionals. The approach used to collect the data was majorly through an interview where two business professionals have engaged in an interview as well as a critical survey of data from 42 sales representatives in the field of pharmaceuticals.
The data collected was very essential in understanding the general perception in regard to the use of social media in China. In the literature review second, the author examined some of the companies in the UK that depend on social media and he concluded that about 23 companies in the UK depend fully on social media for business effectiveness. In the study, he found that social media helped the companies to attract about 91% of the customs. Besides, the company. Though the author limited the study in terms of interviewing only two business professionals serving in the managerial capacity in two different companies and survey on data from the 42 sales representative, it has established that most organizations in China as incorporated the use of social media platforms in search for the market to their products and services.
The study is helpful for other studies since it gives direction to other researchers on how data can be collected from the interview, survey, and articles. The content in the research is also vital for business professionals because it found out that nearly all the business persons in various organizations have ideas that social media has aided in the growth of their business. The effectiveness of social media has been enabled by the increasing growth in technology and innovation, which is turning the world into a global village. However, the communication between the company as well as the suppliers was achieved through social media. In a nutshell, findings from both the interview and survey imply that social media has a very essential role in the growth of most modern businesses.
